Relationships
Family
She and her twin brother,
Ansom Lang, are wards of
Lord Commander Elias Drexel. While the siblings are very close, Petra often apologizes to those on the receiving end of her brother's fiery temper.
She is more hesitant than her brother to defy her father's orders.
The Hooded Lanterns
One of the commanding officers of the Emberwood Watchtower, Petra cares deeply about protecting new recruits and fellow soldiers. As a leader, she prefers earning the loyalty of talented mercenaries and gaining practical experience with her troops through exploration. Also, she often stays at the
Bark and Buzzard, allowing her soldiers to unwind while she seeks adventurers who may prove themselves useful to the Hooded Lanterns' cause.
History
Petra urged members of
Kapital to
"Kick the Can," subtly testing their battle prowess and judging whether they would be good hires for her faction's interests. When they succeeded, she tasked the group with clearing the
hoppers out of the
Wastewater Treatment Facility. Additionally, she promised a personal favor if the group could retrieve the
Silver Order knight to have a conversation with her.
When Petra's unit went missing somewhere in
the Sprawl, Ansom discovered that she was captured by
ratlings and being held in the
Rat's Nest Tavern.
Hired by Ansom, Kapital infiltrated the mutants' nest and freed Petra during a deadly battle with the bloodthirsty
Rat King. With her knowledge of the Redgaard streets, the ranger helped the group evade ever-growing ratling swarms on their retreat back to
Shepherd's Gate.
Grateful to the group, she promised to reach out to them soon about possible contract work.
