Ishmael

Like their sisters Io and Ianthe, Ishmael was a proto-elven refugee fleeing an unknown threat which led their people to the The Archipelago of Kos. A paladin of Seluné/Shar, Ishmael was the younger sibling of Io and Ianthe, who were leading the exodus towards the Northern Continent. Nothing more is known of their circumstances before the curse of Seluné/Shar.   After the conflict between Io and Ianthe exploded, Ishmael sided with Ianthe and Shar. As the curse warped their body, the paladin became one with their steed, transforming into a centaur-like abomination whose appearance was that of a black knight warped into one with its headless, armored horse. At ten feet tall, Ishmael was an imposing opponent. Like Yevas & Duras, Ishmael was too warped to be capable of speech.    Ishmael patrolled the beaches of the island Ianthe with his banshee sister, holding off Io's forces from taking more ground. When Abiyr Arsolum, Gneiss, Bill Stoneheaver, Alden Blackwell, Katarine de Masque, and Soa Mahaz came to speak with Ianthe, Ishmael was fighting off wave after wave of flesh abominations that were coming across a flesh bridge from the island Io. After Ianthe learned that Yevas and Duras's souls had been freed by the party's power, she demanded they engage in combat, hoping to die herself. Ishmael accompanied her into battle and was defeated, their soul freed by the power of The Raven Queen wielded by Abiyr.

Physical Description

Identifying Characteristics

In life, Ishmael wore full-body black plate armor. It is unknown what they looked like beyond that, although one could assume they might resemble their older sisters Io and Ianthe.

Special abilities

Ishmael's horse-like body allows them to charge and trample opponents, and their Temporal Strike can instantly age an enemy for 24 hours. If a creature ages past their usual lifespan from Temporal Strike, they die immediately.
