The Host seals away the Dæmons. With a bitter sweet victory the gods deal with the aftermath of the war before abandoning the mortal realm.

The Slayer's crusade through the Abyss leaves the Dæmon Overlords weakened, and the Sovereign Host pours the last of it's strength to bind them. The dæmon hordes, devastated and leaderless retreat to the depths of the Abyss to await their masters' return.   The Sovereign Host, tired and weakened, turns their eye to the archangel who betrayed them. The archangel, twisted and scarred by his crusade into the Abyss, pleads his case. The Host acknowledges his role in their victory, but find him guilty of treason for stealing divinity from Syberis. His name is stricken from the Weave of the Universe and The Wretch That Must Not Be Named is imprisoned on Baator, along with the angels that fell with him. He dubs his home Hell and continues his crusade from his prison, creating a buffer against the dæmons and launching the Blood War.   At the Wretch's pleas, and the Mother's request, the Host allows the Titans to keep their gifts and retreat from the mortal world to nurse their wounds and regain their power, and so ended the Age of Gods and Dæmons.
