The Tanglecaller
Tall, dark, and brooding, Cairen is not one to sit within the spotlight. Often letting others speak for him when allowed, or speaking with a calm and deep voice when forced. The deep purple eyes and dark hair betray a noble goal. Many revile him and consider him not to be trusted with his appearance and magical practices, but his motivations are just and noble.
Rising to notability with the travels of K'anth and other companions, Cairen was one of the group that banded together to combat the White Queen herself in their travels. Having survived the ordeal, but lost many friends, he is currently lost within the wooded lands of the Westfold Forests, unknown to the world of what he seeks to accomplish after saving Aldaria.
Physical Description
Long, dark, and brooding, Cairen passes an imposing figure to find within the woods where he finds most of his days. Lithe and even gaunt in some cases, the man towers over most figures with a quiet, almost ghost-like quality.
While often accompanied by the presence of a Raven or two, Cairen holds in his position a staff with a crested raven carved onto the top of the object. Fairly easy to identify the object from a distance, but more importantly to him it allows a greater control of the natural world.
Mental characteristics
Of those who ventured into battle of the White Queen, Cairen was by far the most connected with much of the territory that was in conflict during the siege. Old ties lie him back within Eslondil from his birth many centuries ago. A quiet existence has lasted upon him ever since with his exploration of the woods. Not falling under a typical natural deity, he found himself indebted to the Lady of Laws and a unique kinship with the raven creatures included. Carefully constructing his craft, he was wrapped up within the conflict and changed by the outcome in ways he could never have foreseen. His once calm and careful demeanor has shifted somewhat to be a bit more unstable since.
Victory over the White Queen in the Draconic Wars.
A lover lost in the finality of the conflict. The fiery spread of the relationship between the pair lie as a beacon of hope and joy for the elven man. When doused, his heart and mind was trounced heavily.
Social
Deep and resonant, more than expected make the voice of this imposing figure surprising. A calm and steady speech makes him fit the bill of a quiet and mysterious tavern patron if he even found himself within such a place...
Friend (Important)
Towards Cairen Witherrose
History
Cairen and Vei'lla for much of their travels did not speak much. As was the nature of both of them. However, they did have a mutual admiration for each other from a long distance. A few choice words in combat, and even in a small conversation with just themselves discussed how they both shared quite similar stories and age brought them together a bit closer.
Lover (Vital)
Towards Cairen Witherrose
History
The most unlikely of pairing the world over, or perhaps not. The quiet and subversive Cairen found an interest, much more than just a combat ally within Tress in watching her connection with the woods, the wilds, and the spirits when she was training and working with Rhae or on her own. This blossomed into something between the pair, and left a large mark upon Cairen in the finality.
Friend (Important)
Towards Cairen Witherrose
History
As with most of Cairen's connections, they often appeared to be one sided in their admiration. But their was a quiet appreciation of the other often times, even though Gilda in many times tried to rile up and fluster the darker caster to no avail. They both appreciated the other's skills in battle and shared a fairly similar story, even though they never spoke about such. Cairen never truly did feel he did enough in her passing.
Friend (Important)
Towards Cairen Witherrose
History
One of the boys, the dynamic trio of men within the group shared a close stature with each other. A mutual admiration. Rhae spoke with Cairen in the end of Tress' training that he was impressed with her, and encouraged the shy and soft spoken caster to speak with her. Good friends even to this day, despite not knowing where Cairen resides.
Friend (Important)
Towards Cairen Witherrose
History
Cairen and K'anth were the most knowledgeable upon magic and the ways of the world within the group. In this, they often found themselves discussing things later at night upon both great mysteries of the world, and what plans to head towards next with the clues they had gathered. Preparing and planning their great combats, plans, and moves, the magical pair were both equally as awkward and reserved as the other. K'anth wonders where the dark magus has wandered off to these days, but knows why he has.
