Meryl Mizuko (a.k.a. Miz)
Miz was a champion swimmer. She was swimming with friends and found something strange underwater - a suit of armor of unusual design. The armor - an alien entity known as A.S.E. (Adaptive Sentient Exoskeleton) - permanently bonded with her, transforming her into the hero Mythral. A.S.E. is a suit of Vistari Power armor with very strong opinions about what Miz should be doing. Miz was sent to live at the Odd Estate and Asylum with the intent that Professor Olivia Odd would find a way to separate Miz and A.S.E.
Miz attends West High School with her friends and fellow "inmates" Tommy, C.R.Y.S.T.A.L., Katsumi, and more recently, Steelwing. Her crush, a boy named Grant Madlock who was present when Miz was transformed, also attends West.
