Hellford
The city of Hellford was founded in 200 Y.D. on the 16th of Raindraw by Cornelius Plunk, an avante garde tiefling with a penchant for theatrics and celebrations. The town quickly became a popular destination for settlers looking for a new home, for farmers and ranchers looking to blow off steam, and lowlifes looking to spend their ill-gotten gains.
In 223 on the 18th of Withergreen, the town was destroyed in a gunfight between a gang of Shadows led by Joseph Dawn and a garrison of Dominion troops stationed in Hellford. The fight was brutal, and ended with the Dominion shelling the town with cannons and mortars.
In the years since the destruction of Hellford, the town has earned a reputation for being haunted. Passersby and looters tell tales of hearing whispers among the ruins, seeing ghostly apparitions travel between buildings, and hearing phantom cannon fire from the hills around the town. Most of the roads that once passed through Hellford have been rerouted to other locales.
