Hamish's Crypts-The Reliquary

While this crypt is the final resting place of more than a million elves, here Hamish hoped someone would, one day, lovingly reclaim these (relatively very few) statues and art pieces that were miraculously not looted from the city by the Sea Elves. He saw this as a gift from Lathander, and determined to save the delicately rendered stone works from ultimate destruction.    This room was meant, at its inception, as a meditative space wherein petitioners and grieving persons could find quiet and tranquility. Here, it is possible to attain a transcendental state of being that preserves one's body in a Stasis Field that is generated by a clever device Hamish located in the very center of the room.    Hamish reconfigured the stasis fields to virtually stop time around the grid of statuary he had arranged in a grid. The only problem with this is, unbeknownst to Hamish, this would also configure the device to stop time around anything that enters the grid of statues. This includes player characters, who can be trapped within the fields if they are not very careful.
A DC 18 Insight check, or straight Intelligence check, will reveal the nature of the room before anyone enters it.

Purpose / Function

To preserve and reclaim the beautiful art that had been scattered and abandoned at Paxandar. These statues are all in an active state of preservation.

Design

This room is built much like all the others, except there are perfectly realistic statues of elves in various poses and stylings, within stasis fields.

Entries

There are two doors, both of them built out of bone and bone fragments, much like the rest of the decor.

Sensory & Appearance

The room is unnaturally still, and silent as death. The only movement within is the sparkling of the Stasis Field generator in the very center.

Denizens

Twenty statues; masterpieces, all. They were rescued by Hamish Skaalder as he went about his mighty works.

Valuables

Each of these statues is truly priceless, and can fetch millions at a Noble Auction.

Hazards & Traps

The stasis generator in the middle of the room will catch any player character that enters in a Time Stop stasis field.

Special Properties

This room looks brand-spanking-new.

Architecture

Walled exactly the same as all of the other rooms the characters have yet been in. This open space has a ceiling that is supported by clever, marching arches that spread the force of the weight that they bear out, cleverly, to the solid stone of the walls.

Defenses

The stasis generator in the center of the room has been reconfigured to preserve the statuary. This had the unforeseen effect of causing a Stasis Field within the Reliquary that will Time Stop any new stone, copper, or iron material that enters the room. This includes the iron in an organic life form's blood, and will Time Stop any of the characters that pass the threshhold of the room.
