The Eternal Strife
This ancestral belief is the acknowledgement of the eternal struggle all Versipellis and were-kin face on a daily beast when it comes to their inner monstrous self. Before the Strife came into being, most saught the enlightenment that Faustulus had propagated to his offspring throughout the world. However, the Strife only came into the hearts truly in the therianthropes when the first archon of Adrammelch, Heylel, was crowned. He had been one of the few Versipellis that sought to cure the rapidly decreasing number of his kin due to the curse brought on them by the Empyrean Gods, and he had also been one of the codifiers of the degenerate state of the Latonan Empire. Thus, now the werecreatures of the world had to endure through the constant psychic barrage of malignant and enlightened purposes from both fathers of the modern therianthropic creatures of the world.
Culture
This religious following is separated into three categories: Dancers of the Infernal Father, Hunters of Father Wolf, and Followers of the Grey Path.
Dancers of the Infernal Father
This group of Infernalists believe that the old ways of Father Wolf led to the downfall of their entire race as equity and peace had only led to stagnation and decline. They believe the world rightfully belongs to the true masters of the mortal kind, the followers of Heylel (or the Black Wolf). Many followers engage in horrific acts of mutilation, orgy, torture and subterfuge to further their goals of reuniting the world underneath the Black Wolf's design once more. The Dancers engage in a ghastly dance that combines blood sacrifice, hedonism and bestial howls to contact their infernal masters. Only time will tell if this rapidly growing cult will rise in propagation outside of the warring cultist clans of Abaddon.
Hunters of Father Wolf
A dogmatic and disciplined group of mercenaries, adventurers and hermits that wish to aid in giving the world a purpose and hope once more, for they are a repentant group of the Great White Wolf, Faustulus. They believe in bringing unity and peace to an ever dimming world of darkness as well as the purging of rapidly growing evil in the planes. Many believe their Father Wolf lies in the Dreamlands in order to communicate with all of his kindred, and that he wishes his chidlren to better themselves each and every day. The Hunters engage in deep meditation and dream walking via imbibing hallucinogens, so as to contact their ancestors that have passed on to the Realm of Dreams. One day, the Hunters wish to see the return of Father Wolf to pass judgement on their world, but that day has yet to come.
Followers of the Grey Path
A group of equalizers, mediators and enlighteners that wish to bring a balanced following of the teaching of both father wolves. The Followers believe that though Father Wolf had brought great lessons of stoicism, self-reliance and discipline, he had also abandoned his kindred in their darkest hour. The Followers also believe that although the intervention of the Infernal Father had brought new life and hope for all therianthropes, it had also damned a great many of their kind into demonic worship. The Followers believe in a program of indirect outreach to propagate a new age for all were-creatures and were-kin and hope to change the world through a new age of enlightenment.
