Brannor Harlon
Lord Brannor Harlon, called Brann or Black Brann Harlon, is the Lord of Shadowcliff and Head of House Harlon. He has taken two wives, his second is Martha Cayn, the daughter of his good friend Kile Cayn. He has three daughters, and one son Benjiman Harlon.
Appearance and Character
Brannor is a fearsome warrior. He has a long braided black beard said to look like tentacles. For armour he wears a metal helm and a blackiron chestpiece. He was gifted a moonsteel longsword by Kile Cayn, but he also uses his iron axe. He has a loud raspy voice that can boom battle commands or bellow sailors songs. Brannor is a vicious and bloodthirsty fighter, he claims to have killed over one hundred men and that he killed his first man at 13, a peasant stealing from his father's kitchen. Despite being a cruel fighter, he is described as a sweet man to his friends, wives, and children. He loves his son Benjiman, considering him the pride of House Harlon and is always excited to see his grandson, Brannor Whyne.History
Brannor was the third son, first trueborn, of Lord Harron Harlon. He was sent to Northpass to be tutored by Meryn Cayn where he grew up with Kile Cayn. He could also possibly be the father of Gareth Vein. By the time of the Battle of Blackwater, Brannor was 15. Despite his young age, he cut down seven men in the battle. His father died in the battle. Brannor fought a brief war against his half brothers for Shadowcliff. Not wanting to be named a kinslayer, Brannor exiled the two brothers and sent them on a single longboat north, with limited provisions. He took his first wife, a cousin, at 16, the two of them only had daughters. After his first wife died of fever, he married Martha Harlon in 473. They have had one son together, Benjiman Harlon.Relationships
