Santa is an ancient deity of Candlenights who has not been worshipped since the 4000s. He was a Red Wizard of Thay who embraced the power of the entity known as Tharizdun.
The famous Santa Claus is a jolly, lovable and joyous figure. He used to spread joy, cheer and even gifts to good little boys and girls. He is not simply a defenceless old man, and he is not above dispensing his own form of justice or punishment when he deems it necessary. Before he spent his years chained in Vapul's 'Winter Wonderland', and needed cultists in the Shadowed Vale, more specifically the Styes to provide him energy, he was a kindly generous creature who would visit Terra Caelum annually and dispense gifts.
