The Stone Wail is a fusion of
Blaven and the Bident of the Unseen. It was a special gift from the fire giant
Duke Zalto to
Diona and
Ace Ventura.
Acheron Craft
The black metal of this war pick is crafted from a mysterious arcane alloy. You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. While the war pick is on your person, you are immune to effects that turn undead.
While holding the sword, you can use an action to give yourself 1d4+4 temporary hit points. This property can't be used again until the next dusk.
When you hit a creature with an attack using this weapon, you can fill the target with unsettling dread: the target has disadvantage on the next saving throw it makes before the end of your next turn. The creature ignores this effect if it's immune to the frightened condition. Once you use this property, you can't do so again until the next dusk.
Improved II
The war pick gains a +4 bonus and its base damage dice is doubled.
Fusion
This weapon is a fusion of the Bident of the Unseen, and the original shortsword Blaven. The Fire Giants have expertly fused the two weapons together, creating this unique war pick. The new weapon took on these properties from the originals.
From the magic of the Bident of the Unseen, you gain a +3 bonus to spell attack rolls and the saving throw DCs of your cleric spells.
This acheron weapon still glimmers softly with the Companion's fading light. You can use Blaven as a spellcasting focus for your cleric spells. When you cast a spell that restores hit points, you can roll a d4 and add the number rolled to the amount of hit points restored, provided you are holding the war pick.
This magic weapon warns you of danger. The weapon glows an ethereal purple flame when a Celestial is within 60 feet of it.
Motherlode!
If the target is made of stone, you deal an additional 2d8 force damage and attack rolls score a critical hit on a roll of 19 or 20. While wielding this war pick, you can use an action to cast Flesh to Stone spell using your spell save DC from it once per long rest.
Reducing a stone creature to 0 hit points with Blaven causes them to crumble and expose a gem of the following type.
