History & Usage
History
The first Elders used these gems in hopes of gaining more power than they had already. The surge of Anima energy warped their vary Name, changing them into the first Dragons. With their new forms they covered Terra Dracones in a shroud of dark magics under the watchful eye of Chaos. The created other dragons in their image to spread their darkness into places they could no longer reach. As these new dragons hadn't been touched by the Anima energies directly, after the fall of the first Elders they retreated into solitude.
Currently the only artifact that is made of Anima gems is the Heart of the Fay.
Discovery
The first Elders discovered the storage capacity of the gems while through experimenting ways to gain more power.
