Rose Citadel

Purpose / Function

The Rose Citadel was originally built to only be the seat of power in the capital of Heflen. Once the creation of the defences surrounding the city were built, the citadel has also become the control center for the field.

Alterations

The highest tower was destroyed in a siege during the war between Heflen and Moorgate and was later rebuilt as a control center for the city's arcane defences under the direction of Queen Runa Ragnadottir.
Under Queen Scarlet Kane's rule one of the ballrooms was converted into an armory and training hall. The efficiency of the army increased ten-fold after her alterations and has now reached strength near military superpowers such as Draconia.
In 926 AR, King Sumarlid Alriksson, had a temple added onto the citadel to be open to all who wish to use it.

Defenses

Besides the arcane fields a three layers of walls, the Rose Citadel sits on a hill above the main city. The view from the highest tower gives a clear view for a few miles around the outer city.

Tourism

Many of the visitors to the Rose Citadel are either pilgrims visiting the temple or are tourists wanting to the see the ancient architecture. Other visitors include mages wishing to observe the arcane field, royals and couriers on errands with the ruler, and well-renowned warriors visiting the training hall.
