Defences

Armathain does not just export the crystals that are mined beneath the city. Around half of them are kept to be used in creating powerful magic defences. These gems are infused into the walls surrounding the city and the citadel and create a barrier hypothetically similar to the one that was created by Elden Stronghold's Heartstone core.

Industry & Trade

Like many of the large cities in Moorgate, the inhabitants of Heflen's large cities often have mercantile jobs. In Armathain, many of those who are not merchants work in the mines to harvest the gemstones.

Assets

Especially since it is the capital city of Heflen, Armathain is a massive trade hub. This is mainly due to the extensive mining network deep below the city. The main export from these mines are various gemstones, since they are extremely valuable for arcane purposes, being used to make elemental conduits, anima gems, airship engines, and arcane cores. This is why Armathain has come to be known as The Jeweled Crown of Heflen.

Architecture

Unlike many of the cities in Heflen, Armathain takes a lot of inspiration from ancient architecture. Most of the designs found in the inner city can also be seen in places such as the Hall of the Ancients, the Draconian Catacombs, and Elden Stronghold. Outside of the central city, the architecture is far more modern.
