Elgerlor

Written by David_Ulph

Geography

The geography of Elgerlor is mainly rolling hills and forests which build up to mountain peaks. Many rivers and lakes cut open the landmass and in the wetter north-east there are many wetlands and marshes.

To the north, Elgerlor is cut off from Mylrondia by the Back of Terralba, a great and largely impassable mountain range. To the west are further smaller mountain ranges dividing up the region until the singular safe passage into Skìrah, and to the south and east, the landmass cuts out into the oceans in the rough shape of a dragon's head.

While the civilised hide behind high walls of Imperial settlements, there are countless other grave-towns that have littered the landscapes outside of the deep forests. Grave-towns being a necessity by the late Third Age since the amount of deaths from war and plague during the time of the Golden King onwards.
