Changing supplier wasn't simple.

Iron Surplus Campaign was the offensive war waged by the Valonia Empire against the Kingdom of Ohun. The goal was to take the most important resource the empire only had a few.

The Conflict

Prelude

Many invention using by Gunner Legion of Valonia Empire mainly use iron, which is rare in their region. They had to import from Irgia Republic, which become more expensive overtime as the supplier demand the weapon as well. And after the crime of the royal book, the deal became more obstacle.

As such, when the empire heard about Ohun's unlimited iron supply - with better refinement - they knew what to do.

Deployment

The goal is to take Ohugas and all important obsacle fortresses. The emperor Rondius V working with Royal Military Institute to plan the campaign prior to a war declaration. Afterward, the first army was deployed from Knirk in 31 VE.

The problem with campaign was that, the distance between Ohugas and Knirk was incradibly far. Although they had half a hundred of mobillized vehicle to sent troops, marching was still the effective way.

As such, the supply came first; Resources carried by a dozen of such things to construct encampment - about 50 km away from the enemy's nearest fort - which took 1 or 2 months, enough to sustainably support the nearly 100,000 men on arrival.

The Engagement

Even though either of them retreated from each other due to pros and cons of each army, the engagement mostly ended like this; Valonian's decisive victory. For example, the Valonian's first siege near their encampment. They defeat Ohun fortress within a week - the fastest siege ever done in Valonian's history.

Outcome

Fearing of being annihilated, the monarch had no choice but to deal with Valonians; The mighty empire could take control the kingdom, though the y must give all the knowledge of the magnificant technology as well, promising that it could be better by the help of the real metalluary experts. The result was Treaty of Ohugas. with the king of Ohun abolished.

Aftermath

Valonian took control the entire resource of iron mountain and its steel mill. All the production had been determined by Valonians.

All territories owned by Ohun had been converted into imprerial provinces.

The Smith Guild became the provincial administration center, with the Valonian governer working with the existing supreme councillor of the guild.

Historical Significance

Technological Advancement

They both have their own advantage and disadvantage; While Ohuna use swords and bows, the Valonian use guns. The Ohuna army wear the full-plated armours while Valonian wear standrad legionary outfit.

However, the Valonian still superior than Ohuna in many way - such as Valonian have better logistics thanks to a dozen of Catas Mobile, making the reinforcement easier.
