Catas Mobile

Catas Mobile is the moter vehicle that use Catastropium as a fuel. It's developed by Royal Research Academy. It's created as the alternative way of transportation that in some situation a horse can't do.

The car is about 5 meters long and have typical 4 wheels with 2 front steerable wheels. It capable to carry both the engine and payload. Typically, it take two crews to operate; one driver and one mechanic.

Utility

Developed from the wooden carriage with the engine powering an iron shaft, the Catas Mobile is capable of carrying troops, equipments, supplies and news in a shorter time compared to horses. During the Anriv-Vinor War, 50 percent time resupplied the army had been reduced by Catas Mobile.

Manufacturing

The engine has to be built by hand first before labors carefully attach it onto the chassis made of hardwood and iron. The back shaft is attached with gearbox which be driven by the engine. Then purple powder and water tanks is attached in the center of the chassis. For the wheels it use the same type people use for a competitive chariot.

Complexity

Due to one fully functional car can cost many resources and time, only 30 cars were produced for the past decades since 4 VE.

To produce one car it required high-quality tools and light hand workers to carefully craft, assemble and demostate. It could take two months to finish one car.

Furthermore, plenty of iron using as the main complonent mostly come from their alliance, Irgia Republic, as the pact agreement. And after the book incident which result of blaming Irgian, the less iron was sent as the response to scandal, making the production more delayed.

Discovery

During the late War of the Sacked, Parlov Indus and his group realized that even they have the strongest army in the world, sending reinforcement back and forth between them and the capital was too slowed. If they could had the way to shrink it the war might lasted shorter.

Expanded from the pistol machanism, the same group he led manage to make a combustion motor out of it, resulting in the invention of Crystal Engine. This gave an idea for the Catas Mobile.

It took roughly a decade of experimenting inside Institute of Knowledge until they satisfied, before began manufacturing with the help of Ferrum Faber.
