Southern Ceralus

Southern Ceralus, unlike its northern counterpart which is quite wet and temperate, varies from being semi-arid to arid. Much of the agriculture around the southern coast goes to orchards of olive trees and vines for grapes that do well in the dry and warm climates. Hardier grapes and fruits that can survive the colder autumns and winters are grown in the higher interior. The interior of the southern half of the continent tends to have cold and freezing winters, while the coasts tend to remain warm throughout the year. The impressively large animals of the north are fewer in the southern regions.  There are seasonal monsoons that occur in the autumn and spring before it dries out in the summer.
