Session 3

General Summary

27th Day of Solunda, 1762 AC

The group awoke in Hochenmuth knowing they had some time to kill before heading to Perfume Bay. Sandro dealt with a vivid dream, while Balthazar bumped into an old shipmate. The party while deciding the course of the next few days was told through a note to meet the Burgermeister of Hochenmuth.
The party first went to the Temple of The Cycle to learn more about it. Afterwards, they headed to the Burgermeister's residence. There Grendal Ullirache asked the party to undertake an investigation to find the cause of culprits behind attacks on caravans moving through the Jurgen Wood.
The party followed up on clues in the town market place, Arn's Brewery, and Goodes Goods. They learned that there was both attacks done by humans, and incidents involving rabid wildlife which was very odd. While attempting to investigate the burned wreckage of a caravan, the party was ambushed by some of the rabid wolves.
While following up on leads at Goodes Goods, the owners, Ernest and Rahilda asked the party to stake out the store to apprehend a suspected theive. The party eventually caught the thief, who was a young boy, and former resident at the Druidic Cloister in the Jurgen Wood known as Areshwood. The party decided to let the boy go in exchange for some first hand knowledge they had about both the caravan attacks and rabid wildlife.

28th Day of Solunda, 1762 AC

The party woke up and continued their investigation. They followed up with Ernest and Rahilda, letting them know their thief problem was no more. They then went to the Burgermeister residence and had a tense meeting over the expectations, theories and purpose. The two sides eventually reconciled, and the investigation continued. They next followed up with a lead involving a local florist named Nelly. While she seemed nervous, they party didn't find any solid evidence of her involvement. The party headed out to Brohm's Farmstead to follow up on leads about the rabid wolves. There, the huntsman point out where the rabid animals were concentrated.
Instead of pursuing that lead, the party decided to attempt to pull off an elaborate ruse. They theatrically posted a fake shipping announcement, and convinced Arn to let them run a fake caravan into the forest. The hope was to illicit an attack by the perpetrators and apprehend them. But, their quarries did not take the bait, and the party had a nice leisurely ride through the forest.

29th Day of Solunda, 1762 AC

The party awoke the next day, deep within the woods, and discussed their next plan of action: investigate the potential source of the rabid animals. TO BE CONTINUED IN Session 4
