Arkhantia
During the War of the Underworld, the surface was attacked by many creatures. The tiefling city of Uxnerar and its surroundings weren't different. The sorcerers of the city-state needed something to defend themselves, so they asked the night sky for help and something from the Everchaos answered. The unspeakable monster inserted his will into the people of the city and saved it from the forces of Undertethys but it never let them go. From that point on, the people of Arkhantia live in an endless paranoia. Am I mind controlled now? Is this a dream? Is there anyone to save me? The latter, many tried during the Third Age, Kingdoms but none were successful. When the Fourth Age, The Calamity dawned, the people of Arkhantia helped the Iconian Empire and bowed to them. When the Icons were defeated, so did the nation of Arkhantia. The monster was sealed back and people rejoiced. This didn't last long, as the powerful spells binding the creature from returning were synchronized with a certain place in Archeron and after the continent shattered, so did the bindings, releasing him once more. Through the centuries no one was able to save the people of Arkhantia as the magic needed to save them was always too powerful. This nation will forever become a prime example to never make deals with beings from the beyond as even the gods might fear them.
