Demigod

Demigods are powerful creatures, just below True God and some Major Entities. They can grant wishes and powers but only at a certain distance from their body. They are constantly awake and are able to listen to their followers if they are in range. Which for some Demigods can be very tiring and the next step is a must since not all of their worshippers get what they deserve. It is very hard for a mortal to achieve the status of a Demigod. They would need to gain a major following to do so and then gain a Portfolio for themselves. Potential candidates are: Immortals, Chosen of God, Exarchs, Heroes or Villains. Each with their own caveats. Immortals can gain followings over vast periods of time, so its easier for them to gain this status. Chosen and Exarch already have a backing of a deity, so they could get a head start if their patron helps them or even gives them one of their portfolios (or they steal it from their god, in case of Exarchs). Heroes and Villains are a different sort. They got a head start by becoming a major influence in the region they have become a Hero/Villain, now they just need to start a cult. Also, once a Lesser Deity loses their powers, they become a Demigod and eventually can change into an Immortal, if they lose all worshippers, which is highly unlikely.
