Portfolio

Each True God has at least one Portfolio (Demigod must have at least one). These are things that god governs over. When somebody needs advice in love, they go to the god of Love. While this doesn't mean other gods can't help the character, it's just this god is an expert in it, the best of the best. A Greater Deity can have up to five portfolios and if he becomes an Overgod, he loses all of them. He might give one of his Portfolios to create a demigod or an Exarch. Aspects use similar rules, extending the powers of a Greater Deity but can be an easy target for rivals - they can either share their Greater Deity Portfolio (maybe even gaining one additional one in the process) or become completely independent from their "parent", thus having their own set of portfolios called Aspect Portfolios.
In short, no two gods will have the exact portfolio item. There can't be two gods of Magic. However, they can be a god of Magic and a god of Elven Magic or god of Dragon Magic. They would still answer to the higher power in this regard (the god of Magic).
