The race of Thri-Kreen lived mostly on Shidarezakura and taught the idea of Chi (or Ki) straight from the Titan Patient One, creating the first Monk orders in the world. That was, however, thousands of years ago. Their roles as advisors and wise men of Shidarezakura came to an abrupt end when the shogun was killed by one of its kind, creating a huge rift. The Thri-Kreen were seen as allies to the Icons during the Fourth Age, The Calamity, so they were banished from the islands. Most of them hid themselves from civilization and it took many generations before they came back from the darkness. Some rejected the old ways and carved their own country in northeastern part of Sailan that stands to this day. Many believe the Thri-Kreen will want to take back the Great Sakura Island and its surrounding islands.
