Shidarezakura

The lands of the Weeping Cherry opened to the outsiders at the cusp of The Second Divergence. Shidarezakura was once a part of the Jadeite Empire during the Third Age, Kingdoms, exporting one of the most precious metals in Sailan - Dragonglass. The clans of the island kingdom were content with their life until the Fourth Age, The Calamity dawned. Monstrosities called the Icons began to rise and with them their servants. The humans of Shidarezakura accused other races of being their allies after their shogun was assassinated by a Thri-Kreen (who secretly worked for the Divine Hollow). Every race was banished or killed on the islands but that didn't stop the problems. It wasn't until the coming of a great sorcerer called Yoshin, who was a leader of a powerful army of Yoshimin (Golems or Warforgeds, many things point to a third option). He offered the people safety and the great clans obliged, especially after the Jadeite Empire elected a new shogun, who was just a puppet of their emperor. Yoshin would confront the dragons and the shogun in the palace, killing them in battle. Then he constructed giant walls, safeguarding the cities against the wild while casting a powerful spell on surrounding seas, turning them into fire with nightmarish storms over them (people would later call it Kamikaze). All communication was severed and even teleportation was impossible. For centuries the country lived in fear of their tyrant, many generations passed under his rule and only after the Fifth Age, Current Age started was he disposed of. The great clans revolted and won. Yoshin was dead, his army scattered and the seas of fire and storm subsided. The story doesn't end there. It took many decades of famine and civil war until the great clans, under the guidance of their newly appointed emperor to open the borders and bring trade once more. The country was saved, people finally had food and the civil war stopped.
