Orichalcum

This green metal works identically to iron, some Islanders prefer it due to its origins and say it gives them "luck", but it may just be in their heads. Orichalcum was found on the Malachat Island by the Islanders just after the Second Age, Godswar. On the many cliffs of the island (mainly the Orichalcum Bay), they saw the rocks shimmer green in the light. They found iron, in abundance, on the island but it looked different (and felt different to them). Not knowing the origin (or they got this information from their Loa), they spun a tale about where it really came from. Long ago, a powerful ocean diety died called Ori, who was an ancient dragon turtle. His blood spilled into the ocean around the island and the waves splashed on the cliffs, fusing the land with his blood, creating the Orichalcum veins.
