Seida & Seidaism

The religion of the inhabitants of Cannia, known as Seidaism, is centered around the worship of six major gods, each representing different aspects of the world. Over time, Seidaism has evolved to include various lesser gods, but the core of the religion remains tied to the original six deities.   Niphena - Goddess of Magic: Niphena is revered as the creator and guardian of magic. She embodies the balance of magical forces and is often depicted as a regal elven woman. Her followers, typically mages and scholars, dedicate themselves to the pursuit of arcane knowledge.   Bamir, God of Strength: Bamir symbolizes strength and valor. He is especially venerated by warriors and those who value directness and power. His followers participate in festivals that include physical contests and honor the fallen.   Iphin - God of Earth and Nature: Iphin is associated with the creation and flourishing of life. His worship involves rituals that celebrate the cycles of nature, such as harvests and seasonal changes. His followers strive for a balance between taking from and giving back to the earth.   Samis - God of Storm and Skies: Samis is a powerful and feared deity, connected to storms and the sky. He is worshiped by those who respect the raw power of nature, and his followers often build altars on mountain peaks to be closer to him.   Veldar - God of Trickery: Veldar represents deception and cunning. His teachings emphasize survival through wit and trickery. Festivals in his honor often involve pranks, puzzles, and riddles.   Limtar, Goddess of Death and Decay: Limtar is the counterbalance to the creation of life, embodying death and decay. Her followers respect the inevitability of death and the cycle of life. Some of her more fervent worshippers even partake in rituals of decay.
