Kem'aat

Kem'aat, the god of trickery, deception, shadows and ruin in the Children of Sawari-Ra religion. Kem'aat represents much of what is considered evil and immoral. Kem'aat possesses the power to shapeshift and walk amongst mortals to sow chaos and dissent and lure mortal men and women to commit heinous deeds.   Depicted as a man with the head of what resembles a black furred hyena with eyes of red or yellow He is the shadow creature that prowls the edge of civilization in search of blood and misery to feast gorge himself upon.   Kem'aat is often considered the nemesis of Shamash the noble goddess of community and protection. In the sacred legends of the gods, Kem'aat often proves himself to be cunning and wicked. It is said that Kem'aat was the one to distracted Amun'atep almost resulting in killing him.
