Ra-Avan

Ra-Avan is considered to be one of the most important deities of the pantheon. Goddess of Ravens, Death and Judgement, mother of Mar-Aduk and Sakerh.   Ra-Avan is critical to the worship of the gods. She is the Raven goddess who judges all upon death. Those who are worthy are allowed to enter the Necropolis City of Shethu and be looked after by Sekerh, keeper of the dead. Those unworthy are cast unto the maws of Mar-Aduk, the serpent god of hunger and plague and son of Ra-Avan and Nehereseth.   She is depicted as a dark goddess with black-obsidian skin and the head of the Kahaani raven. She carries a stone dagger to cut out the heart of the dead.
