Halfling

Halflings are often mistaken as human children for they are small and bear similar features to humans, but upon closer inspection, it becomes apparent that their ears and noses are of a larger proportion to their face than a human. Another distinguishing aspect of halflings is their proportionally large and hairy feet. Halflings have an average lifespan of about 120 years and for most of their lives, maintain a fairly youthful appearance.
A halfling's inner compass is stronger than most races and their senses are acutely attuned to the world around them. Some people believe that halflings posses a magical luck directly from The Ourvorax itself. However, their perceived luck could just be linked to their enhanced perceptions.
Halfling are also naturally heartening. Whether this be figuring out a problem themselves or encouraging others, halflings tend to inspire confidence. Now, you would think this means that all halflings are cheerful and confident themselves, but every halfling is different and might lend their luck and skills differently. Some scholars believe that this natual inspiration is attributed to halflings having the ability to channel The Ourvorax into others. I don't know if this is true, but I know I always feel more hopeful when I'm around halflings.
