Alabaster Peaks

Border Crossing

This sprawling mountain range cuts across Seraphix, separating the Aurelian Empire from the Lumen Theocracy. It acts as the northern border for both Spatengrove and the Heartland.

Crossing the Alabaster Peaks into either nation can only be done from a select few locations. Checkpoints at Empire sanctioned outposts at the foot of the mountains are on constant guard against any illegal aliens attempting to enter the country. Each of these outposts sit atop tunnel systems dug through the mountain range that connect to tunnel systems monitored by Lumen's border outposts. 

Ivory Deposits

The Alabaster Peaks are famous for it's strange, naturally occurring deposits of ivory. Usually harvested from the teeth of the Saber Wolves and Mammoths that populate it, large quantities of this mineral have been discovered while mining for quartz. The reason for this phenomenon is yet unknown, but large quantities of it have been mined and used to decorate and trim the capital city of Albion, earning it the nickname of the "Ivory Bastion". 

Geography

Though further north than the Steorra Mountains, the Alabaster Peaks are more temperate. The summits are snow-capped, but the base of the mountains and the surrounding terrain are composed of verdant forests and rolling hills feeding. Further to the east, the River Eden flows down the mountains and through the Heartland.
