A history of the northern continent as commonly known.
St Micheal the Mighty gathers like-minded tribes to make a stand against raiders, cannibals and blood barbarians. Over time, a massive host is gathered, and the central plains are eventually conquored entirely. The beginning of recorded history starts and the end of this mighty war, with the founding of the city of Tiechos.
Saint Michael the Mighty founded the city of Teichos to hold back the barbarians of the northern tribes.
The first senate is elected, formally marking the transition of Cotiva from a settlement of tribes to a City-State.
The halfing clans settle into the valleys and vales of the north-east, under the leadership of their newly-elected High King, Tormod MacSual. They name the place Fearann Briste.
Cornelio Lodato drives the krokatoa backs into the sea, and founds a settlement under the shadow of the floating mountains the fishmen once worshipped. He is crowned king of the new city of Surrin.
A fleet of ships from the far east are stranded on the coast by the treacherous waters of the God's Teeth. They build a settlement and name it Syrarin.
A trading post is established in the midst of the plans by an alliance of merchants from Cotiva and Syrarin. The new city is named Bolocino, and connects a trade route across the continent.
Flights of Avens discover an empty city, suspended by massive chains over an abyss in the western mountains. Parties sent to explore the depths do not return. Eventually the city is repopulated by settlers of Aven birdfolk.
The cities of Surrin, Cotiva, and Bolocino sign a treaty of mutual defense, creating a relatively safe trade route across the continent.
The dwarves are driven out of the last of their mountain strongholds by blood barbarians. This leads to a 15year period of wandering as they try to find a new home.
The Dwarvish Alshatat (dispora) battles the knights of Teichos. The dwarves wanted access to the interior of the continent, and Teichos was unwilling to let refugees numbering in the millions cross their lands. The dwarves are eventually driven back, and retreat to the west, into the desert.
Smugglers find a route through the marshes, creating a faster route to the interior of the continent. They build a settlement at the mouth of the delta.
