Achmed Shankar

Achmed Shankar was the initially unnamed narrator of Nine Meditations In The Temple Of Chromatic Enlightenment and the leader of a secret alliance of groups that rose against the 4th dynasty of the Resource Management World Government on Earth in November 2533. Fleeing to Silusia Alpha after a botched attempt to kill him in Antarctica, he joined the human pilgrimmage to the Temple of Chromatic Enlightenment in 2534.
Spoiler: Shankar's Destiny

Returning to Earth following the end of the meditations, he brought the civil war to a successful conclusion by August 2538 and went on to rule the 5th dynasty of the Resource Management World Government as the head of the Pilgrim Council until his assasination by Samsin in 2546.

History

Fitararye was helpful to Achmed in resolving the problem of Fly on Inuwarmah where they met in 2521. Later he became part of a loose alliance of like minded political actors working in secret to shift the policies of the 4th dynasty of the Resource Management World Government and ultimately to undermine and overthrow them between June 2533 and August 2538. Wilson acted as a client to Achmed's patron role, providing useful access to the Great Commercial League.

Samsin's lack of trust for the leader of the pilgrim council was an issue which festered during the short 5th dynasty of the Resource Management World Government. She was eventually persuaded that he had become a tyrant and was responsible for his assassination in 2546, bringing an end to the pilgrim council and the 5th dynasty.
