Goblins
The goblins of Dunyawal are among the most whimsical and curious of
the limae! These creatures are true connoisseurs of chaos, leaving their mischievous marks from the subterranean depths of Orr's mines to the shadowy glades of Pentar's blighted vales since Dhexdhüm formed them at the beginning of the Age of Creation.
Goblins come in a number of shapes and sizes, living in complex homes and communities limited only by their wild imaginations and hidden among the nooks and crannies of the world. From their cuisine to their aesthetics to their warfare, goblins are rarely content with the old ways of doing things. Goblin culture is mercurial, ecumenical, and often deeply weird to outsiders. Goblins tend to be drawn to the macabre and the absurd.
Many are also possessed with an inventive spirit, crafting contraptions that defy explanation. In their subterranean warrens, goblins tinker and toil, crafting fantastical contraptions and peculiar concoctions. Their inventiveness knows no bounds, and the air around them hums with the energy of creation. From clockwork marvels that buzz and whir to explosive surprises that'll leave even the bravest trembling, goblins weave enchanting tales of eccentricity in every creation they bring to life.
Some goblins also exhibit an affinity for nature and possess uncommon abilities to commune with the spirits of the forest, whispering secrets to the ancient trees and calling upon the wind to carry their laughter far and wide. Goblins can embrace the wildness of the untamed world. Those who commit themselves fully to understanding their environments are capable of attaining the wisdom of the ancients.
Most goblins do not concern themselves with The Strife or other religious matters. Many goblins reject the generally-accepted cosmology of Dunyawal in favor of that of Glarbathrik.
Types of Goblins
Goblins can be found throughout Dunyawal. Most goblins are represented by the "Common Goblin" statistics. In addition, there are Orrish Golbins—typically tinkerers or alchemists who reside on the legendary mechanized island of Orr—and Blighted Goblins whose physiology has adapted to the presence of Nal's Blight in Pentar. There are also the Asgelli Goblins who live in the north of Asgellion and are known for their deadly warg riders.
