Der' Gerath

The home of the Half-Orcs, Der' Gerath has stood strong for thousands of years. The city is a sprawling mass of buildings that surround a central stronghold, the Sanctuary of the Elder. Though many Half-orcs have left the settlement, the vast majority still live within the cities walls.

Demographics

Almost all residents of Der' Gerath are half-orcs.

Government

The city is lead by a circle of druids that make the majority of the cities decisions. On major matters, the circle awakens their ancestral chieftain, Der' Geden.

Defences

The central stronghold is an immense fortress that could withstand a heavy assault from outside forces. Though the orcs don't use the fort as a military stronghold anymore, it is still capable of of acting as one should the need arise.

History

The people of Der' Gerath chose to aid Settler Races during The Founding War. This made the settlement a target for Full Orc raids. The settlement took considerable damage but survived and were able to rebuild stronger.

Architecture

The coalition between the settler races and the half-orcs allowed Der' Gerath to benefit from their skills in building. As a result the settlement is an impressive blend of Orchish simplicity and modern efficiency.
