The Raven Queen
The Raven Queen is a mysterious entity that dwells in the Echo Plane of The Shadowfell. She mainly deals with guiding spirits in their journey to the afterlife and protecting the dead from turning to undeath. She is also believed to have some control over the great tapestry of fate that determines when a mortals life ends. Though it is unclear whether this is true, many fearful of invoking the wrath of the Raven queen hold her in high regard and make offerings in the hope of extending their fate.
Despite being a god of death, she holds undead with the highest contempt. She sees undeath as a plague that needs to be irradiated to maintain the balance between life and death.

The raven queen has tenuous connection with the gods and very rarely deals with them. She occasionally works with Kelemvor in ferrying the dead into the appropriate afterlife.
Though she keeps herself distant from the other gods, she often finds herself in conflict with other denizens of the Shadowfell. Her main adversary is the sentinel of shadow, Umbrinus, who uses his power to create masses of undead which he adds to his unending army.
