Giant Crab Shell

Giant Crab husbandry is a huge practice of the Ara prior to the arrival of the Ars and was one of many traditions that was considered weakened and in some cases and communities, entirely lost to the grip of time as the Ars dominated society and culture once they started to arrive in greater numbers into the Framework.
Because of the rarity at which the husbandry process became, giant crab shells became representative of the remaining elements and the pride of the Ara being retained by the community members of Xalia in the face of the ever-increasing tide of cultural subjection imposed by the Ars. If one has one in their home it's more often recognized as a home desiring to fight back at the imposed restrictions of the Ars. Like a banner of safety and solidarity, the retention of crab themed decorations tend to express the idea of a desire to reclaim the past stolen, and most people are aware of the significance of having crab shell decorations or furnishings, to serve as part of the network of secrets for The Barakutáshi 
Once used by their ancestors as armor in combat, it now serves as a symbol of protection to anyone who is willing to fight against the tyranny of the Ars, and resist the Graf Xlibris and the Colym among other organizations that exist to dominate the Sector Xalia and keep the civilians from trying to regain their ancestral authority and gifts from the Forms of the Framework they lived in before the Incident.
