Multiplex (Multi-Plecks)

Multiplex is the term for the control paradigm that allows the person to control multiple elements at one time without the use of a catalyst element or force, as advanced Proximus  wielders are able to do. Multiplex control falls into 3 subcategories:

• Multiplex En Tandem - This describes when the power wielder must control one element at a time to build up to wielding multiple at once. It is comparable to juggling, where a new ball is tossed into the maneuver and becomes part of the routine. A great deal of mastery and control is needed to maintain control of multiple elements at once as a result.
• Multiplex En Parallel - This describes when the power wielder can control multiple elements but only one element at a time. This is similar to Unilis  or Flexilis , as they are seen as being able to control only a single element at once, but can switch. The rapidity of their ability to switch between the elements under their control is the greatest demonstration of their skill.
• Multiplex En Simult - This describes when the power wielder can control multiple elements, but only simultaneously. This occurs whether they can control the elements separately but at the same time, together at once, or both. The important thing is they are unable to control a single element without also controlling another element, thought the amount of control of each can vary, resulting in asynchronous control of the elements as needed. Such fine-tuned, asynchronous control is the most notable demonstration of skill for those with this form of elemental control.

In relation to the Celestial Sphere increasing points in that sphere represent the following:

• En Tandem: Control over multiple elements simultaneously
• En Parallel: Rapidity of one's ability to switch between them
• En Simult: The level of asynchronicity in ability control
