Lalantha

Lalantha (a.k.a. The Worldbreaker)

Lalantha, also known as the Worldbreaker, is an unfathomably powerful Kinder created by MaMa and Vic during the early days of the First World. In her complete form, she is considered a Level 5 Transform, capable of changing splitting reality and breaking Creator Gods into infinitely-many pieces. In her current state she has been Splintered across three individual psyches — the naïve Lantern soul of Lalantha, the madness of the Devourer, and the reborn bones of Rovagug (also known as the Tarrasque). She is the target of numerous plots surrounding the Dream Team, although she has never met them directly.

Personal history

Most of Lalantha's known history was discovered in a vision (see Thaumaturgy), but has been confirmed anecdotally by both Caesura and Deva. In the early days of the First World, it was Lalantha that shattered the divine essence of Nazima, and would later go on to "behead" Rufus Geldenleaf and throw Vic into a rend in time.   At some point during the Twilight War she lost her way and fell into madness, becoming corrupted by the Dark Tapestry and creating the horror known as Rovagug. She would go on to terrorize the Other Side after that conflict, eventually returning with Jestyr in her war against the One God that led to End Day. Although Scourge attempted to change her fate in the resulting time breaks, it was stopped by the Ashen and Rovagug was imprisoned in the core of Golarion.   After Asmodeus failed to free Rovagug during the adventures of the Zodiac Braves, the planet was sealed away in the Void and guarded by the Kauma Tree. Unfortunately, this prison was temporarily weakened by the Gap and allowed a piece of Rovagug to go free, resulting in the being known as the Devourer to roam the Material Plane. During this time, it is believed that Kesil was able to separate Lalantha's Lantern from the Rough Beast's corpse, and buried its bones in the Pit of Gormuz.   As suggested in Tiger Fist, Lalantha was capable of being summoned from her Lantern after these events, and she has since spoken to Asmodeus in the Nameless Spires. While her condition is unknown, a recent vision (see S10E1: "As Sheep That Have No Shepherd") implies that she is with Kesil and the Starwatch on a Gatestone Tram.
