While they typically operate as solo agents of chaos, they can unite as a formidable unit during times of war or when their malevolent masters demand it. Their primary weapon lies in their uncanny power to instill fear in the hearts of others.
Description: Nightmare Knights, as they are often known to outsiders, are masters of subversion and counter-holy tactics. As a force draped in dark, shadowy armor that conceals their identities and instills fear in their adversaries, each elite enforcer wields a unique weapon adorned with chaotic symbols and dark enchantments, designed to disrupt divine magic and strike terror into the hearts of paladins and their allies.
Shadow Reavers are chosen from among the most zealous and skilled members of the Priests of Pandemonium or the Acolytes of the Aberrant Wisdom. Their training involves mastering combat techniques that exploit the vulnerabilities of holy magic and divine warriors. They excel in psychological warfare, sowing doubt and chaos within the ranks of their enemies. Operating covertly as agents of the Church of Zid-dem, Nightmare Knights often infiltrate paladin orders and other holy organizations to undermine their influence.

Zid-dem's Will Above All: The orders and directives of Zid-dem, the Unending Shadow, are absolute. The Shadow Reavers carry out their missions with unwavering loyalty to their malevolent deity.

Priesthood
Shadow Reavers: Every member of this order holds the position of Shadow Reavers within the Priests of Pandimonium. Known within the church as the Order of the Shadow Reavers. Outside of the church they are called the Order of the Nightmare Knights. But within the Order they can have any of the following Positions:
Nightmare Lords: The Nightmare Lords are the highest-ranking members of the order, each of them being a formidable anti-paladin in their own right. They lead the order and serve as the direct agents of Zid-dem's will, wielding fear as a weapon to disrupt and dismantle their adversaries. Their presence alone can send shivers down the spines of even the bravest warriors. Due to the name of their position is where the name Nightmare Knights comes from.
Fearmongers: Fearmongers are responsible for spreading fear through various means, including propaganda, intimidation, and acts of violence. They craft terrifying narratives and symbols that strike at the core of human fears, leaving lasting psychological scars on their victims.
Dreadmasters: Dreadmasters are the infiltrators and spies of the order. They excel at gathering intelligence, infiltrating enemy organizations, and disrupting their plans from within. When operating solo, they are the most adept at striking terror into the hearts of those they encounter.
Chaos Field Marshals: Chaos Field Marshals are responsible for coordinating the order's actions during times of war and large-scale chaos campaigns. They ensure that the Nightmare Knights' efforts are synchronized and that the maximum amount of fear and chaos is unleashed upon their enemies.
Initiate Dreadblades: Initiate Dreadblades are the entry-level members of the order, fresh recruits who are in the early stages of their training as Nightmare Knights. They are tasked with proving their dedication and loyalty to the order, often by carrying out missions that involve spreading fear and chaos on a smaller scale. Initiate Dreadblades are closely supervised and guided by their higher-ranked counterparts as they learn the dark arts of the Shadow Reavers.
