Adyar Council
"Those of the Adyar Council are wielders of unfathomable and terrible magical capabilities. They bear skills and magic not known in the typical sense, and should always be approached with great caution."

Adyar Council
Wielding destructive magic that has been housed in great secrecy, the Adyar Council is one of the most feared countries within the Aliech Continent. Containing various unique familial mage houses similar to The Septum Confederation, many of these inhabitants are of the eldest magic-based lineages that can date back to the Age of Divinity. Their bloodlines are rumoured to go so far back, that they would make many of the most senior Septum families be viewed as infantile in direct contrast. The systems of magic that they developed are considered to be unobtainable by regular standards. Unlike contemporary magic which is designed to be taught to others, these families have designed magic that only they can utilize. It is the accumulation of their lineages' effort to obtain unique methods, breakthroughs, and ancient artifacts to help them develop these abilities. Through great sacrifices of their kin, and others, were they able to achieve the powers that they possess today. The majority of these families do not work together, nor do they even consider each other allies. After all, the process of developing magic is a difficult task. For the land of Adyar houses a grand wellspring of Leylines, bursting at the seams with Mana. In order to develop their skills to comprehend the Well of the Aether, they put up with the presences of other families, but are not privy to work with each other. While their population is the smallest out of all the known countries, the various other families that lay within are surrounded by villages under various oaths, verbal agreements, or even held against their own wills to stay within their borders to provide work. Such examples can be seen in the Vacana Family's magic of Promise. It utilizes promises that enact those to commit to their vows. Those that go against their promise, are punished. A person may experience conditions ranging from mild headaches, shortness of breath, to even the very eruption of their heart if they were to break their promise. The Vacana Family
From vows, oaths, marriages, and contracts, the Vacana Family is a known dignitary and intermediary between various factions. Within the Adyar Council, they are the most well-known and open mage family of them all. They bestow magical bonding contracts upon wiling individuals to enhance, enforce, and or permit others to accomplish certain tasks. These can be from oaths, verbal agreements, vows, etc. Those that go against their promises are typically punished through the promise of words they spoke as per the contract. Examples are as follows... "Pinky swear, ten thousand punches, whoever lies will be made to swallow a thousand needles." If the person lies to the other person, the promise spell goes off and the liar will consume a thousand needles instantaneously. "A promise to return home safely from the war" Empowers an individual with certain buffs or abilities to help them achieve their goals. The more vague the promise is, the less effective it is. Does not guarantee them to succeed though. The Norns
The Norns are a mysterious family who arent like ordinary family households. They boast different ancestries, lifestyles, and skillsets that greatly differentiate them from other families and spellcasters. Many of them, if not all are skilled and versatile in the magical schooling known as Gandr and Seidr. Gandr revolves around artifacts from The Dominion Wars. Runic objects of old that can theoretically be dubbed the original "magic scrolls." Shards of Gandrs lay dominant through Iberia, housing potent powers written back the Jotun Giants from the Age of Divinity. Each one retains its powers, a fragment of what it could summon or cast from those days of old. The Norns have revised and searched the vast realms of the world in search of unique Runes such as those. However, it is normally undiscernable by a regular person and is often viewed as an ordinary rock when spotted. Seidr revolves around the art of sorcery. Utilized primarily by females, it was tied to divination and clairvoyance and even utilized for other aspects given a specialization. This school of magic is closely associated with one of the great deities (TBD). Through this power, it could heal the sick, provide luck, control the weather, and more. Additionally, it could be reversed to achieve the opposite effects to harm others and grant negative boons as well. The Nok Family
Enthralled by the superstitions of their civilization, the Nok Family is known to be spiritually aware and highly cautious of others. Rarely are they ever seen outside of their lands, and if they are, they are always surrounded by other creatures or beings that do their bidding. They are followers of the conception of the unique Sympathetic and Contagion styled magic. Through Sympathetic Magic, they are able to produce similar sacrificial effects on targets that they choose. Through the lock of one's hair, a hint of their blood, or anything that could catalyze a foe into a doll of similar likeness. It is through this doll that the Nok Family may choose to enact a stimulus upon them. By placing a needle through the doll, a person may feel a knife in their gut. If they were to choke the doll, the person may be unable to breathe. It is considered to be a form of imagination and imitations where an induced effect leads to an actual result. Contagion magic believes that all essence of a person's body is, in turn, able to influence other objects or creatures. Through one's bodily fluids, clippings, follicles, and other "parts" of a person, it can be reutilized as a magical object in direct relationship to the person, leading them to be able to be wounded. If a Nok Family were to obtain one of these parts from an enemy, they would be able to influence the person to commit actions against their own will via magical rituals. As a result, they have become reclusive and unwilling to leave their lands.Merlin
A mysterious mage whose presence is everywhere while nowhere at the same time. Considered to be the eldest, most powerful, and wisest mage of all time. It was stated that it was under his tutelage that his students help form the conceptions of magical spells that colud be shared formulaically. This led to the widespread usage of magical abilities through talented individuals and skilled people who could deliver such research. Merlin is assumed to be immortal and has been cited to have lived or is presently living in the Adyar Council, yet nobody knows where this person is or has any knowledge regarding them as of late. The only known thing is that known is that he exists, for his name is written and cited in many magical journals and papers from the past. Rumors have stated that Merlin has reappeared once more in the Aliech continent under the guise of a young man with white hair who says that he is him.- Individual Families.
