A fight breaks out in the Mess Hall. Captain Myron arrives at its conclusion, and when the Guards try to take Ajax Wursor to the Infirmary, the Captain instructs them to return him to his cell instead.
Later that day, Russell Tideborn and Sister Prudence found seven dead bodies in the infirmary. The victims comprised six inmates and one guard. Three of the inmates had a symbol marked on their arms. Captain Myron and a phalanx of guards attended the scene along with Doctor Ada Arztin . Russell and Sister Prudence were questioned by the guards and Captain Myron suspected Russell of being involved in the murders.
Both Russell and Sister Prudence were taken into isolation cells and the Captain asked Doctor Ada to assess Russell's mental stability. During the interrogation, he discovered the Magic that Russell was capable of and had him sealed in a Wild Magic Cell. He later questioned Sister Prudence and discovered details of the Marnolian symbols found throughout the asylum and on the bodies of the victims. This leads the Captain to a conclusion and he allows both Sister Prudence and Russell Tideborn to be released from their cells.
Later that night he rounds up the native Zmumadians and attempts to have them hanged. Doctor Ada convinces him to show mercy and he consents to have them isolated to a single cell block, though not before executing three of them and having two of them beaten to death.
