Purpose / Function

This is the restaurant and lounge where the elites and high ranking officials of Fuyao BeiMei congregate and socialize. It serves exotic imports of food and drinks for those who can afford the luxury.

Alterations

The building was built over an old trailer park, on an artificial hill overlooking the river that passes through Fuyao BeiMei. It has a copper facade on it's east and west walls, the rest exposed painting concrete. Over the years a deck on the west side looking over the river has been set up.

Architecture

Without it's deck and copper facades, the Liquid Gem is merely a quick concrete square with little intentional flair.

History

Established in 2075, then Chief Executive Chuien Dao wanted to keep himself and his business dealings separate from those of the lower jobs that decided to socialize at Upper Deck Tavern. Tired of hosting people at his own home, he used some of his own funds as well as the profit directly from Fuyao BeiMei to make the restaurant. He handed it over to his sister-in-law Jiahui Zhou to maintain the business.
Over time, the succession line of the business has been bit of a meritocracy, with a small few of mid-level Fuyaoan employees finding themselves the inheritor of the Liquid Gem. However, their business savvy must also match a complete loyalty to the current administration, and hence why sometimes this position has had radical changes. Overall, most of the Liquid Gem has stayed the same, though what has been considered luxurious or exclusive has changed over the last 85 years.
