The People's Tower in The Kingdom of Adair
"It has taken years for grandmother's dream to become a reality, but a vertical country has finally been achieved."
Purpose / Function
This 135 story tall monolith on the landscape is the result of over half a century of investment and development spearheaded by Opal Adair in 2029. This tower 's base is a hexagon with a 3 mile diameter contained officially in the Kingdom of Adair which only extended a mile around the base of the structure. This tower holds over 95 percent of the population of the kingdom in an almost completely self sufficient community.
Alterations
The tower has been maintained on a constant basis with imports of mostly metal replacement pieces. In addition, in response to a previous threats from the The Fighters of Greed there have been systematic installations of Starlite and reinforced glass in key areas of the tower.
Over the years, there has been some promotion of natural greenery with ivy and other plants and moss near the lower levels.

Architecture
Despite its revolutionary size and concept, the exterior of the building mostly resembles skyscrapers from the beginning of the 21st century, with mirrored exterior windows and hidden steel structure. It has a slight incline toward the top of the building, with all six sides leaning in looking somewhat like a pyramid but with a flat top. All the windows are covered with translucent colored patterns that prevent wildlife from flying in, and alternated with sections full of solar panels that help power the entire building and then some.
History
In 2029, Opal Adair bought a section Oklahoma near the southern border of the state. Despite locals being upset of the back end purchase and flagrant abuse of the state's eminent domain clause, Adair told the citizens that they would be given the opportunity to be a part of a great experiment if she was given the time.
In 2033 plans were finalized and the ground was broken for the The People Tower began with a strange mix of investors. It was quickly brought to light that although Adair was initiating the construction, she had no plans to see it finalized, rightly predicting that the project would not be done in her lifetime. As construction continued, a matriarchal succession plan for the ownership and management of the project, which evolved into a matriarchal monarchy plan for the governance of the future community.
The investments that the Adair Monarchy funded in order to make the project possible helped to spearhead a lot of innovation in the eco-tech industry. The Waste Reclamation industry in particular likes to say that it wouldn't exist without the decades of progress founded due to the investments in The People's Tower.
On 2101, Monarch Ruth Adair was able to announce to the world the official opening of the The People's Tower, with a total of 10,000 individuals having applied for citizenship within. Over time, as the experiment of the Kingdom of Adair as a "Corporate Nation" seemed to be fruitful, the population grew to 100,000 in the present day.
