The Moonstone Mask
Sitting on a small island on the south of the harbor, The Moonstone Mask can only be accessed via a small bridge way from The Protector's Enclave.
From the outside, this large three story building looks inviting, warm and clean. Several vibrant tapestries and flags adorn the exterior. It's near impossible to see through the opulent large, stained glass windows, but the energy and excitement from within can be felt outside. As you enter the tavern through the ornate, wooden door, you're welcomed by the smell of alcohol, nice food and dancing people.
The first floor is mostly open, all the way to the roof. What you can only guess are the rooms, are along the outer walls of the second and third floor, with two large, open, staircases at the back going up to the second floor rooms. At the bar to the right, The Bartender, Dei Romaan, is extremely busy, but still manages to welcome you with a brief nod & short wave.
It's as bright & charming inside as it is on the outside. Several walls & posts support the upper floors and the lanterns attached to them. The walls & rafters are swarmed with flags & decorum of all sorts and sizes. Some are from nearby towns or provinces, others from the far corners of the world. They must've been fitted to the owner. The tavern itself is packed. Several long tables are occupied by seperate groups of people, all enjoying themselves. The other, smaller tables, are also occupied by people who are indulging in great food and drinks. While some do try to strike up a conversation, others can barely speak a word between eating what must be delicious foods. Even most of the stools at the bar are occupied, though nobody seems to mind more company.
Judging by the warmth and joy radiating throughout the tavern, it's probably the atmosphere that makes this tavern famous. You manage to find a seat and prepare for what will undoubtedly be A Great Evening.
