Wet Cursive

Wet Cursive is the most ancient form of written language found in Magicians' End which can still be translated into modern tongues. Although some fragments of older languages have been found, none of them are now comprehensible.   Wet Cursive was in common use at the time of the Painted Peoples in the Old Kingdoms, but had already begun to die out, even in the early years of the New Kingdoms, superseded by Dry Cursive. Wet Cursive was usually painted onto vellum or parchment, although there are also examples of inscriptions into stone.   The legendary Crimson Codex was written in Wet Cursive, sometime around 11500 BPC.
