Dry Cursive
Dry Cursive is a dead language widely used on Magicians' End in the age of the New Kingdoms. The image at the head of the article is the most famous example of Dry Cursive, an inscription stone preserved from the monument that commemorated the Settlement of Zaranon in 9996 BPC. This was the treaty that led to the formation of the Kingdom of Myruth, the first of the New Kingdoms, and the one which later gave its name to the entire continent of Myruthea, although the ancient kingdom itself only ever controlled a fraction of the whole land mass in the far north east.
The distinguishing feature of Dry Cursive was a technological transition to a new style of pen and ink, which in turn facilitated faster and easier writing than had been possible in the earlier language of Wet Cursive, and fed back into important modifications of letter and script styles.
