Isle of Dawn
Located across from Tethys Lagoon and the Obelisk Obscura, The Isle of Dawn was crafted for those who align themselves with the forces of light and who wish to fight against Sinister’s tyranny during the Global Invasion. Sinister believes that by giving the forces of light a fair chance and a consolidated area they could congregate in, they will be more thoroughly eliminated. It is one of the showings of mercy from the villain, the massive city kingdom large and vast enough to hold all alliances of good.
Geography
The Isle of Dawn has three different geological sections that flow into one another. Poseidon's Crest wraps around the isle in a sloping, semicircle shore, allowing easy access for anyone hoping to set anchor or simply emerge from the Tethys Lagoon and onto the isle itself. However, the Crest only comes about in the direction of Apollo City, which takes up nearly half of the entire isle with its bustling metropolis. The city is unusually flat with little to no elevation besides that in the architecture. The outskirts of the city open up into a vast countryside that acts as a divide between Apollo and the Kingdom of Dawn. The kingdom is surrounded by rich forestry and the mountainous base of Titans' Range, which quickly harkens back to Medieval settings.
Fauna & Flora
Besides the massive Aether Tree in the midst of Gaia Square in Apollo City, the flora and fauna within is very tame. Just like any other metropolitan city, Apollo City has its scores of rats, possums, pigeons, seagulls, cats and dogs who roam the streets. All of the animals here, similar to those on the Enclave of Dusk, subsist primarily on the low levels of Aether that flow throughout the entire isle.
The Kingdom of Dawn, however, has much more variety in its wilderness. The flora most closely resembles European forestry with tall, thick trees that blanket the areas around the shining stone buildings, along with various crops that are easy to sow and reap. From foxes to bears to wolves, a great many species can be found roaming through the fields and forests around the castle. However, one to take note of in particular, is the roaming band of swans who have taken particularly well to the Aether flowing through the island. Supposedly, they have taken to patrolling the area around the kingdom, hissing, flapping and even attacking those who have traces of Nether in their systems. Due to their selective absorption of the Aether, they are nearly three times more muscular than their normal counterparts.
Natural Resources
The primary crops of the Isle of Dawn is as follows:
Wheat | Sugar Beet | Potatoes | Soybeans | Adzuki Beans | Buckwheat | Onion | Rice | Raw Aether
The most notable natural resource on the island, besides Raw Aether, is the mutated crystalline structure called Shining Shards. These are gems or crystals naturally found in the Earth that have been transformed by the slow, constant bombardment of Aether. This has produced not only the brilliant shining property of these Shining Shards but also their potential to dispel any darkness around them. Because of this, they can easily be found at night and are thought to be the "star light of the isle".
However, they are known to be rarer than most gems and are one of the largest signs of wealth on the entire island.
History
The construction of the Isle of Dawn originated from a false sense of mercy Sinister Maharana had for those who wished to oppose them. In reality, he felt as though it wouldn't be much of a challenge if he could easily snatch away the dimension he believed held so much potential. So, the creation of the isle was two-fold: To create an ongoing sense of entertainment for himself and to crush the opposing forces without any excuses, all the while bringing forward the best of the best to be recruited. The island itself was crafted from the remnants of the geography surrounding Lake Kussharo and, oddly enough, the Greek God Aether. The latter was brought to become the foundation of the Isle of Dawn relatively easily due to his indefinitely slumbering state, although the energy expended to carefully root the deity nearly four miles beneath the city. Although antithetical to some of his plans, ultimately, this served him well to keep his enemies as close as possible.
Apollo City and the Kingdom of Dawn were created to draw the forces of light in both modern and ancient capacities, as well as give them everything they could possibly need to survive in the Archipelago. Sinister modeled the city after the city of Seattle purely by chance, but was pleased by the architecture that came of his construction. After both the city and kingdom was completed, he was shocked to see that, even in slumber, Aether had a massive influence on the isle, practically fueling it with low doses of Aether much like Sinister's Enclave. With the isle complete, heroes swarmed to make this chunk of land their temporary home in the Archipelago. Just as planned.
Tourism
A majority of the people who make up the large population of both Apollo City and the Kingdom of Dawn come from surrounding European and Asian countries that were not destroyed by Savage Ken. As such, it's not so much tourism as it is a mass immigration.
