Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Although she has a slightly dangerous tendency to test her potions on herself, Dorsey has maintained solid health, partially through the efforts of the three healers in her family. She looks a lot like her mother, with brown hair, pale skin, and golden eyes - the latter of which is considered remarkable among the Reishi. Dorsey may not be the most physically adept of people in the world, but her manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination is top-notch.
Apparel & Accessories
Dorsey has partially fallen into the trend of Amahitzan fashion, specifically adhering to the southern style, but she has maintained a bit of that Reishi flare by dressing almost exclusively in hold, keeping her head covered by a transparent veil, and wearing dresses that, while they follow the southern Amahitzan fashion, are a little more risqué than you'd see a native Amahitzan wear.
Mental characteristics
Education
Dorsey spent the first six years of her life as part of the relatively poor Vere family, but a vast majority of her education was done after her mother officially married into the Maydlow family. With the Maydlow's greater wealth, a better instructor could be hired for Dorsey, and the young girl took to learning immediately. She did passingly well in studies of culture and history, but her true interest was in the sciences. Unfortunately, Dorsey didn't quite have the skill to make it as an infixor, leaving her only one viable route: alchemy. Before long, she was apprenticed at Bubbling Seawater and on her eighteenth birthday management of the store was officially passed to Dorsey.
Employment
Dorsey has only ever worked at Bubbling Seawater, Korosa's alchemy shop, and so she is impressively experienced with alchemy for someone as young as she is - she has been employed there for since she was twelve. She makes healing tonics for the hospitals, strengthening potions for the soldiers, and beauty products for the noblemen. Now, Dorsey is officially the manager of the shop, a position earned by setting up a deal to provide aphrodisiacs to The Layflower.
Intellectual Characteristics
Dorsey is clever as a fox and twice as knowledgeable about the natural movements Amastya than most of the Reishi. Despite her lack of magical skill, her sorceress half-sister Viera sometimes calls on Dorsey to help her get through magical blocks that she can't work around on her own.
Morality & Philosophy
Working under the notoriously greedy Meretincelles has definitely turned Dorsey into a bit more of a miser than she otherwise might have been, but she is still fundamentally good. She supports her family's attempts to emancipate Reishi's slaves and occasionally administers potions or tonics to wounded slaves when she has a batch of that is about to go bad (for a small fee from the Abithers, of course).
