Evan/Uvanli ter Egureou
Evan is the Guardian of the Gates. He lives in the forest and looks after the Gates , keeping them working and ensuring that there is not too much traffic between them.
He grew up in the Moonlight Court as the son of the queen alongside his twin sister Eloise. He learnt to play panpipes.
He was the oldest and groomed to take over the mantle of ruling, but he didn't want that. He tried to escape as often as he could and he visited all the other courts, except Dusklight. He cultivated friendships with the younger fae in other courts, especially Florian ver Argia from Sunlight.
He also spent a lot of time in the forest and searching for gates to the human realm. Which led to him enticing humans through to play with Boggarts. This was against the Treaty of the Yews and he was caught by Herne the Huntsman.
When he left Eloise gave him a thick copper chain bracelet with a rabbit charm hanging from it to remind him of her.
When he took on the role of Guardian of the Gates he relinquished his position within Moonlight, making his siter the Heir. He pledged himself to the forest and took up residence in a tree.
He spends his time exploring the forest where he checks on the gates and keeps track of humans and fae travelling through them. He is responsible for keeping them in working order, smoothing out any bumps in their flow, and keeping an eye on what comes through. Any human who finds themself in faery is returned to the human realm as soon as possible. And the fae are returned to faery. In order to do this he travels around a lot and visits most of the courts to keep an eye on how things are going. Though he refuses to return to Moonlight.
Having felt trapped himself within the court of his birth, he aids those he finds who are stifled by the court they reside in. Being free to leave a court is a principle he wishes to uphold, although he had no idea it was written into the Treaty of the Yews and so the courts were stretching their responsibility by retaining them when they wished to leave.
While travelling the forest he uses wards to protect himself while he sleeps, even though he is now a creature of the forest and tied to its well-being, there are other creatures who don't care about that. He creates a circle with a glittery powder with himself at the centre. He keeps this powder in a pot in a drawstring pouch attached to his waist.
