Pleasure Barge

The Pleasure Barge was constructed out of a spider-mech-like prisoner transport system, lent to Soular Power by Carissa Pinejumper as part of their agreement with the Stonedeep government to hold prisoners of state in Soular Power's cryochambers.1

Upgrades

Immediately upon receiving the cage-on-legs from Carissa, Fritz upgraded the suspension to make for a more comfortable ride, and tinkered with other crucial pieces of the machinery in a successful attempt to extend the contraption's lifespan beyond its intended one-time use. Kirby Venteicher, hired by Jalan, spearheaded the Barge's internal construction, namely the addition of a fully functional bar and other creature comforts intended to make long-distance traversal more comfortable.2

Fritz accepted the responsibility of maintenance and upgrades of the Pleasure Barge while on the road, and contributed her own personal flair to its lavish interior: 5H33N, a mechanical bartender cobbled out of one of the power facility's cyborg defense spiders.3 Bulky metal plates and spikes were hastily attached to the front of the Pleasure Barge in Soular Power's desperate escape of the Soular Power Plant directly following the Vocantem, making the Barge even heavier and slower than it was prior, but offering some significant protection to the Barge's vital mechanical parts and the passengers within the carriage.4

The Pleasure Barge's movement speed is rather slow and loud, and it has trouble traversing difficult terrain, like mountain paths. It can be forced to move at higher speeds with great difficulty - notably, Nevermore magically compelled it to move at a brisk run when the party was chased down the mountain from the Research Outpost by a horde of wargs and goblin riders.5

It was determined at the end of Session 16 that the Pleasure Barge has the capacity to (uncomfortably) seat 9.
